We need Rae
Tom Axworthy makes the point here, and I agree with him 100%.
As I've always said, experience counts. Even though he won't be our leader, it's become increasingly clear that we need Bob Rae in Parliament. Why? Well, he is probably the most experienced person in Canada in dealing with minority government situations. We're seeing the Prime Minister play a lot of games in the House - on Kyoto, on judges, on fiscal issues, on national unity. His games are orchestrated. So, too, must be our responses. Having "officially" brought down two Conservative minority governments in the past, Bob Rae can offer significant insight in this regard, so that things like this don't happen.
